Animals and humans have been able to coexist on Earth for thousands of years, and from this we have learned a lot from one another. From behavoir and instincts, to our bodies and illnesses, there are many similarities that have yet to even be explored. This exploration into our relationship with the animal kingdom, isn't just beneficial, but neccessary. The more we know about primates, cats, dogs, and almost any other animal, the more we learn about the human race. The knowledge of the similarities in illness and wellness between animals and humans can benefit the development of the medical field for both species.

  • Similarities in illness between humans and animals
  1. The relationship between FIV in cats, and HIV in humans
  2. What has this research taught us about the virus??
  3. How can we use this knowledge to work toward a cure
  • Further research,
  1. more points
  • What questions does this knowledge open up about other illnesses??
  1. How does this knowledge affect both medical fields??
  2. Benefits this creates in veterinary science
  3. Benefits this creates in the medical field for humans
  4. What makes this relationship
  • Useful
  • Important
  • Neccessary

Therefore, comparing the human race to the animal kingdom, while considering illness and wellness, opens up a whole new field for advancement in the medical field for humans, as well as animals. FIV isn't the only animal illness that can easily be compared to a human virus, and it isn't the only disease that still requires research. In order to advance to the next step in this research, lots of experimentation, study, and observation will be neccessary, and in the end, worth it. Imagine a world, where humans and animals, side by side, could one day become as close to disease free as we can come. The medical field has made unimaginable progress in the past, but it's time to take it to the next step and look at the big picture.
